I was having a horrible nightmare. It almost felt like reality. Miguel... he had gotten really angry at me and left me alone. In my dreams I had repeatedly begged and begged some more so he'd stay with me, or even consider to stay, but it was all in vain. Miguel had turned his back to me and left without a word.

I, still asleep, somehow managed to get up, and walked outside. Somehow I succeeded in getting the steep stairs all the way down. I walked all over the city, without any destination. At the same time I kept calling Miguel's name over and over again. Of course I didn't get any response, and finally I fell down to my knees in the middle of the street. Somehow I still held up an image of Miguel right next to me, the image that everything was fine. I almost could hear his voice in my ears, feel his touch on my shoulders.
"Miguel.."
I whispered desperately.

At the same time in the temple Miguel woke up and noticed that I was gone.
"Tulio..?"
was all he managed to say, though he already had noticed I was missing. Of course he was astonished, because it was midnight. Miguel mumbled to himself, stood up and went to search for me.

I hadn't moved at all. I was always the one who got all the bad things to happen, but still when I woke up, I was a little surprised of what had I done this time. Before I could think about it a bit more, I heard neighing from somewhere nearby. When I looked up, I saw Altivo trotting to me.
"Altivo? What are you doing here?"
I asked, astonished. Altivo neighed again, tossing his head, before he turned around and left me alone again. When I stood up, he was already gone.
"Well.. there he went.."

I hadn't thought that Altivo had left to get Miguel. Miguel twitched a little when he saw Altivo running to him like no mañana.
"Hey, Altivo! Where are you coming from?"
Miguel asked, and Altivo nodded his head neighing loudly.
"Do you want to tell me something? Or show?"
Miguel kept asking while climbing onto Altivo's back. Right at the moment Miguel had taken the reins, Altivo jumped forward with full speed.

Only a little while after Altivo had run away, I heard someone approaching me. And that someone approached me really fast. Soon I noticed it was Altivo, and this time he had Miguel with him.
"Tulio!"
Miguel shouted while Altivo made a quick stop right next to me. Miguel jumped off the horse and shouted to me:
"Where the heck have you been? Do you have any idea how I felt when I noticed you were gone?"
Miguel took the few steps that separated him from me, and put his arms tightly around me. I barely managed to say:
"Well.. I was having a terrible nightmare, in which you got so mad at me and shouted that you were going to leave me. I think then I left from the temple, still asleep, to search for you. This is were I woke up then.."

Miguel took a few steps away from me, looking a bit sceptical.
"Tulio, what are you talking about? Of course you should already know that I could never leave you like that."
After saying that Miguel again pulled me close to him, and this time he kissed me. At least in that point I finally understood how stupid I had been, letting a stupid nightmare to have that great effect on me, so that I also had believed it to be true. I, a bit ashamed, kissed Miguel, putting my hands around him in exchange.
